Double Island Point is a not-so-secret spot that provides an epic escape from the mainland to your very own 4 wheel drive paradise. On one side you’ll find the Pacific Ocean, brimming with potential for fish and surf. On the other side there is calm water, perfect for kids, kayaks and SUPs. Right down on the point – if you’re lucky – you’ll find a wrapping right hand break that promises fun rides and thinner crowds than the breaks in Noosa.
Beach access is possible from Rainbow Beach or Tewantin (near Noosa). Access from Tewantin is via the Noosa River ferry and then via the beach access points at Noosa North Shore. Travel north along Teewah Beach to Freshwater or Leisha Tracks.
Shade, drinking water a picnic and swimmers.
No overnight stays, so try Freshwater camp ground or the Teewah beach camping zone.
